7 DIY Ways To Make Your House Smell Amazing

Home is a place where all the things we love surrounds us. A place where we can relax, we can do whatever we want, a place where we can cook for our dear ones and a place where we feel secured and rejuvenated. One of the best part in our home which I consider perfect; is my room. I love it when it smells cozy and inviting.

There are vast number of ways to make your house smell amazing, and the good thing is you can do it in your own style. You may try to make your own scented candles or use multiple scents and blend it. A herb plus a spice fire starter, a scented home humidifier, a reed diffuser, a linen spray or make your own potpourri.

One of my best and favourite scent when it comes to scented candles is the lemon lavender aromatherapy candle. You might want to try this doing at your own pace. Let me give you the ingredients and supplies you might need. Get your notes and jot it down.

Ingredients and Supplies

- Essential oil (lemon and lavender)

- Beeswax for about 6-8 oz

- 1 wick

- 4 oz glass jar

- Small soup pot

- A set of chop sticks

- A pyrex measuring cup

- 10ml graduated cylinder (if necessary)

Follow the instructions below:

Measure 6 or 8 oz beeswax into your 1 and 1/2 jar full and wipe your measuring cup with jojoba. Melt the beeswax in the pyrex measuring cup (you may search videos on how to do this). Place the wick in the jar using your chopsticks and measure your essential oil. Once you beeswax is melted, add the essential oil plus the beeswax and stir it slowly. Pour it all together slowly into the jar without disturbing the wick and allow it to harden for several hours before flaming it. Enjoy the scent and aroma!
